THE HOOK SYNC GROUP
The HOOK Sync Group is a full service sync licensing company specializing in music placement in TV commercials, online and social content, films, documentaries, trailers and TV shows. Unlike over-saturated music libraries, we operate in a boutique fashion where our goal is to work directly with creative directors and music supervisors to deliver quality song placements, compositions and scoring for film/tv, ads/commercials, sports, gaming and digital content/podcasting.
We procure music primarily from BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Colour), LGBTQ+ and recognized as Female community. THSG’s core strength is having the innate ability to help tell stories through the use of music authentically while being a voice for the unheard and underrepresented. It is our mandate to represent the underrepresented and with that owning 'our' culture and diversity to help tell your stories through the use of music.

WHERE WE MADE THE MOMENT
MEET THE TEAM
Michelle Allman-Esdaille is the proud creator of the Toronto based, black female owned sync agency called The Hook Sync Group. Michelle’s love for music and keen ear has led her to develop the second arm of The HOOK & Company to help under-represented artists find placement opportunities within tv, film, commercials, gaming, sports and digital content. She has opened up a specialized space to work with talent from the BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and recognized as female communities. Michelle believes that it is imperative that these groups find representation in a market that is growing exponentially with the expansion of visual streaming and technology.
As a musician herself, Michelle feels empowered to help other artists, composers, arrangers and producers find ways to create freely without inhibition in ways that carry an audible message of emotion. She has been heard to have said that the ability to emotionally tie ourselves audibly solidifies the marriage between what is being heard and what is being seen inevitably to what is felt. It is through cultural experiences, diverse beliefs and varying backgrounds can the most profound stories be told and colourful sounds be expressed. That is what Michelle wants to add to every placement for every production.
